5 Areas to Spring Clean Your Life

I absolutely love the spring. The birds are chirping, the flowers are poking up, the snow has melted, and the days are getting longer and warmer. I’ve talked about this a lot, but the spring months give a lot of hope to many people. It allows them to spend more time in the daylight, outside, enjoying life.

For me, spring always acts as a fresh start. It’s a time to evaluate what’s working in my life and what is ready to move on. From the items in my home to the clothes I wear, spring is an opportunity for reflection, which I absolutely love. So today, I wanted to share with you some areas where I like to spring clean my life in hopes it inspires you to reflect on your own life.

5 Areas to Spring Clean Your Life

1. Tidy up

We’ll begin on a potentially obvious note: spring cleaning your home. This includes the messy cupboards you haven’t gone through in months, the back of your closet you don’t grab for, and the pile of random things in your car. Not only does this allow you the opportunity to pass along things that no longer serve you, but it also allows you to make room to find the things you do grab for. Not to mention, this will also help you to clear the energy in your spaces, too.

2. Freshen up your look

Whether it’s a new haircut, handbag, or jacket, there’s something kind of nice about changing up your look a tad for spring. It allows you to get creative, venture out of your comfort zone and try something new. Some inexpensive ways to do this can include purchasing clothing secondhand, doing a clothing swap with friends and family, or styling pieces from your closet that you don't typically grab for.

3. Learn something new

As you know, I’m a huge advocate for lifelong learning, and I truly believe there are a wide variety of ways to learn new things. With spring being an opportunity for a fresh start, I like to think about ways I can learn new things. Whether it’s a new course I can take or a new book I can read, I like to expand my mind and learn something new.

4. Try a new exercise routine

Spring is the perfect time to change up your exercise routine. Whether that looks like venturing outside to walk or run, or enrolling in a new exercise class, the change of seasons is a great time to change your routine. Just remember to consult with your doctor before changing up your fitness routine!

5. Prioritize spending time outside

During this time of year, I love to bring my activities outdoors. Whether it's enjoying a meal, attending a meeting, or gardening, being outside is one of my favourite things to do.
